We had some time to kill between returning to the Uk and going to the British Virgin Islands. A brief stint of temping told us both that working in the NHS was not an enjoyable way to spend our time.
We decided to get a late deal to snowboard in the Alps for 2 weeks. Val Cenis was a great little resort with some nice accessible off piste to improve on. Although 2 weeks of large breakfast, lunch and 4 course evenining meals & free wine did take their toll, we managed to get up the mountain everyday the lifts were running.
We were very lucky to get some great conditions with regular snowfall, occasional sun and pretty much empty pistes.
